Linear run & pattern playground

Sketch a linear lighting layout before you specify it. Pick a modular linear system below, grow runs and open patterns from its real segments and connectors, check the total footage and output, then walk the room in 3D and export the run schedule.

Products with a playground

Any modular linear system can join — products declare their real segment lengths and connector geometries in the catalog, and a planner page is generated automatically. Looking for ceiling tiles instead? Try the tile playground .

Frequently asked questions

What is the linear run & pattern playground?

A free planning tool for modular linear lighting systems — pendant frameworks, continuous runs, and pattern-making linears. You grow a layout from a product’s real stocked segment lengths and connector geometries (L, T, X, Y, hex), preview the suspended run in a 3D room, and export a run schedule.

Where do the segment lengths and connectors come from?

From each manufacturer’s published product data — the same sourcing rule as every spec on LightKilo. A product only offers the segment lengths and hub geometries its documentation actually lists; the playground never invents parts.

How is total light output estimated?

For systems rated in lumens per foot, the playground multiplies the published per-foot range by your total run length. It is a planning estimate — actual output depends on the inserts, optics, and output tier you specify with the manufacturer.

Can I export or share a layout?

Yes. The run schedule (segments by length, connectors, finish, total feet) downloads as CSV, and "Copy layout link" encodes the whole pattern into the URL so anyone opening the link sees your exact layout.
