The Orion is OCL Architectural Lighting's simple shallow-dome decorative luminaire, its dome accented by tripod hanging systems and constructed from solid, non-ferrous brass or aluminum. The thermally formed acrylic ranges from 3/16 to 1/4 in thick depending on size — virgin white acrylic is UV-stable (UL-94 HB flame class) and all faux acrylic colors are mixed completely through to avoid noticeable fading. It is offered in four diameters — 23, 30, 36 and 42 in — as an Orion Pendant, Ceiling, and Sconce, with pendant hanging by a single center stem (P1AA), three angled stems (P1AH), or three angled aircraft cables (P1ED) to a collector and a single center stem to canopy. The LED source delivers 4,500 delivered lumens at 50 W (LED1) or 9,100 delivered lumens at 105 W (LED2) at 3500K with standard white acrylic (0.95 multiplier at 2700K, 0.97 at 3000K, 1.03 at 4000K), on universal 120–277 V drivers with 0-10V 1% dimming; a screw-in incandescent option (three to eight E26 A19 sockets, 150 W max per lamp) is also available on 120 V. Diffusers come in Gloss White, Matte White, Faux Alabaster, and White Swirl acrylic, and metal is finished in eleven powder-coat colors plus nine premium hand-applied metal finishes including polished and brushed aluminum.
