Mikro Wafer is Lumenwerx's 1-inch-aperture acoustic member of the Mikro platform — a crisp line of light set into a horizontal high-absorption felt panel, made practical by the fully integrated Mikrodrive driver. Using high-performance LEDs and a flat High-efficiency Lambertian Optic (0.075" diffusing acrylic, up to 88% transmission with good source obscuration), it delivers an efficacy of 95 lm/W while the sound-absorbing wafer cuts room reverberation with, per Lumenwerx, 20% better sound absorption than the competition. Offered in Direct and Direct/Indirect distributions on a 20"-wide felt panel in 2, 3, and 4 ft lit sections (overall 36.5", 48.5", and 60.5"; 2 3/8" deep Direct, 3" Direct/Indirect), it is pendant-mounted by aircraft cable. Delivered direct output spans 350, 500, and 700 lm/ft — 1400, 2000, and 2800 delivered lumens per 4 ft — with Direct/Indirect configurations combining direct and indirect packages up to 4800 total lumens per 4 ft. The custom mid-flux LED array is cartridge-mounted and available in 2700, 3000, 3500, and 4000K at a minimum 80 CRI, with a 90 CRI option carrying elevated R9, held to within 3 SDCM; a BIOS SkyBlue static circadian-optimized LED is available (not combinable with 2700K or 90 CRI). The ultra-slim integrated Mikrodrive accepts universal 120–277V input with 0–10V dimming, rated at over 100,000 hours MTBF; due to space limitations no other driver, control, or wiring options are offered. The acoustic felt is 100% polyester containing up to 50% recycled PET, ASTM E-84 Class A fire-rated and moisture resistant, offered in an extensive standard and premium color palette; the housing carries a standard white powder-coat. LEDs are LM-80 tested to L80 lumen maintenance beyond 60,000 hours, with photometry per LM-79. ETL listed to UL 1598 and CSA C22.2 No. 250.0 for indoor dry/damp locations, WELL-supporting (for Light, Sound, and Mind), and backed by a five-year limited warranty.
