Smile is Lumenwerx's curved-profile direct/indirect linear luminaire, named for the charming arc of its 8 5/8" extruded-aluminum housing. It pairs a wide-spread batwing uplight with well-controlled downlight through a Precision Micro-Prism Optic (PMO) — 0.1" acrylic with pyramidal prisms on a 0.06" square base that give a 45° optical cut-off on the downlight and peak uplight intensity at 105°. The family is offered in three forms sharing one platform: SIB (Standard Indirect Batwing) pendant in 60/40, 35/65, and 15/85 down/up distributions at 750, 875, and 1000 lm/ft; ICL (Independently Controllable Light) pendant, which drives the direct and indirect components on separate circuits (750–1000 lm/ft direct plus 500–750 lm/ft indirect, up to 7000 total delivered lm per 4 ft); and a wall-mounted SIB in the 15/85 distribution at 750–875 lm/ft. Delivered efficacy reaches 107 lm/W. Static-white LEDs are available in 2700/3000/3500/4000K at a minimum 80 CRI, with an optional 90 CRI and elevated R9, held to 3 SDCM; LM-80 testing shows L80 lumen maintenance beyond 60,000 hours. Fixtures are built from 4, 8, and 12 ft sections joined onsite into virtually seamless continuous runs (multiples of 4 ft), pendant-mounted on aircraft cable, sliding cable, or stem, or wall-mounted on a drywall bracket. Universal 120–277V drivers (347V with the 0–10V option) dim 100–1% via 0–10V, with Lutron Hi-lume 1% Eco and DALI options, plus standalone occupancy/daylight sensors and connected-control integration (Lutron, Encelium, Cooper Wavelinx, Acuity nLight, Casambi, Legrand). Emergency battery, night-light, and generator-transfer options are available. ETL listed to UL 1598 and CSA C22.2 No. 250.0 for indoor dry/damp locations, and backed by a five-year limited warranty.
