About this product

Obscura is Focal Point's minimalist suspended architectural linear luminaire, designed to glow from a seemingly invisible light source. A slim 1.59" wide, 4.32" tall extruded-aluminum body (0.08" rails with die-cast aluminum end caps) carries an 80% indirect / 20% direct distribution, where a 22-gauge gradient optic softens the uplight and an extruded acrylic lens provides a subtle downward glow. Luminaires are offered as individual units from 4' to 12' in 1' increments, delivering 500, 625, 750, 875, or 1000 lumens per foot (2000-4000 delivered lumens on a 4' unit) at 123-129 LPW and 3 SDCM. The proprietary linear LED module is available at 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K with CRI greater than 80. A distinctive Power-Up suspension system delivers low-voltage power through adjustable aircraft cables (to 96"), eliminating a separate power cord; drivers sit in a sheet-metal enclosure above the ceiling or surface-mount for open-ceiling installs, and are field replaceable. The standard 120-277V UNV constant-current driver includes 0-10V analog dimming (10% LD1 or 1% L11), with Lutron Hi-Lume EcoSystem 1% (LH1), DALI 1% (D11), and a range of connected-solutions options (Wattstopper PLUS, Acuity nLight, Current NX, and WaveLinx Pro). Mounting interfaces cover grid, drywall/hard surface, and open ceilings, with emergency battery (10W/90 min), emergency circuit, and Chicago Plenum available as factory options. Finished in polyester powder coat with a choice of Palladium Silver or White housing (white or infinity interior end caps), Obscura is UL and cUL listed for indoor dry or damp locations, reports L70 at greater than 61,000 hours, and carries a five-year limited warranty.
