Extend 4 is the 4-inch member of Axis Lighting's ruggedized Extend architectural linear platform, dry and wet-location rated IP66 and IK10 impact-resistant for indoor or outdoor use. The extruded-aluminum profile (4⅛" W × 4 15⁄16" H, 0.08" nominal wall, up to 70% recycled content) uses silicone gaskets, an impact-modified PMMA lens, and tamper-proof TORX T15 fasteners, and joins with a 1" sealed joiner plate into continuous system runs from 2 to 12 ft. Nominal output runs 400 to 1400 lm/ft, with up-light to 1200 lm/ft at 141 lm/W (clear lens) and down-light to 1200 lm/ft, published per foot at 3500K, 90 CRI in direct (EX4PD), indirect (EX4PI), and direct/indirect (EX4PDI) configurations. A wide shielding menu — Spotless, Asymmetric Spotless, Wallwash, Batwing, and Graze — tailors the optic, with 2700/3000/3500/4000/5000K color temperatures and high-efficacy 90 CRI held within a 3-step MacAdam ellipse. A surge-protection device is standard; dimming is 0–10V 1% (DP) or extended-temperature 0–10V (DPX, −40 to +50 °C), with Lutron Hi-lume 1% EcoSystem, DALI, DMX, and Xitanium SR options plus an integral occupancy-sensor option, at 120/277/347/UNV.
