Aera Shalo is Lumenwerx's ultra-shallow recessed downlight family, designed for spaces with limited plenum height: at only 2" deep it carries the same XPoint optical precision, visual comfort, and below-ceiling serviceability as the wider Aera Collection. It is offered in 2", 3", and 4" apertures, round or square, in flanged trim or trimless drywall-mudplate versions (a deep-trim option is added on the 3" and 4"), for ceilings up to 1" thick (a 0.5" collar height serves restrained spaces). Three distributions share the aesthetic: the Fixed downlight for uniform general illumination, an Adjustable version with a lockable 30° tilt and rotation mechanism, and a Wall Wash version for even ceiling-to-floor grazing. A five-step beam menu spans 15° narrow spot, 25° spot, 35° narrow flood, 50° wide flood, and 80° very wide flood, with soft-diffused (Solite), frosted, or clear lens options plus linear-spread and hex-louver accessories. Delivered output (values at 3500K, 90+ CRI, 25° beam) runs 678 lm (7 W), 922 lm (10 W), and 1073 lm (12 W) on the 2"; 1060 lm (10 W), 1427 lm (14 W), and 1875 lm (20 W) on the 3"; and 1145 lm (10 W), 1541 lm (14 W), and 2026 lm (20 W) on the 4", with efficacy published up to 114 lm/W. The light source is offered in 2200/2400/2700/3000/3500/4000/5000K with 80+, 90+, or 95+ CRI (2200/2400/5000K not available at 95+ CRI), or a full-spectrum static-white option at 95+ CRI, held to 2 SDCM. LEDs are LM-80 tested to L80 greater than 60,000 hours. Dimming reaches 1% via 0–10V standard, with ELV, TRIAC, and eldoLED 1% ECOdrive / 0.1% SOLOdrive integral drivers, or a remote driver adding Lutron Hi-lume 1% EcoSystem and DALI, plus SOLA dim-to-warm and DUO tunable-white light-source options and an optional emergency battery, on 120V, 277V, universal 120–277V, or 347V input. Type-IC, Type Non-IC, and Chicago Plenum (CCEA) installations are supported with 2" adjustable, flush-mount, adjustable-standard (6" grid), and adjustable-commercial bar hangers. ETL listed to UL 1598 and CSA C22.2 No. 250.0 for indoor dry/damp locations (IP44 with the wet-location lens option for bathrooms, showers, and outdoor canopies), and backed by a five-year limited warranty.
